We bake fresh sourdough bread, focaccia and a variety of seasonal treats each morning.

Grab a cup of farmer-direct coffee while you shop our marketplace or lounge next to the farm.
In our cafe you'll find coffee drinks, kombucha, wine, beer + cold brew. Croissants and muffins from local bakery Bit of Swiss can be found in the cafe.
Outdoor seating
Lounge next to the farm with your bestie and a cold brew.
Well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome outside.

In the role of Baker, you will keep our marketplace stocked with fresh baked products like sourdough bread, focaccia, cookies + fruit hand pies.
Responsibilities
You’ll report to our Kitchen Manager + Baker, along with the entire small Farmette team.
- Support the bakery program by keeping the marketplace stocked with fresh baked products.
- Tasks involve mixing + shaping dough, measuring ingredients, making cookies, bread, focaccia + hand pies, baking and washing dishes.
- Maintain quality and consistency of the bakery program.
- Keep a clean, sanitary workspace, storage and refrigeration.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- At least 1 year of baking experience, preferably in a retail bakery.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team-driven environment. We are a respectful and positive work environment.
- Reliability a must
- Able to work independently, focused and self-driven.
- Open to feedback with the understanding that the whole team is working towards the same goal
- Keep a positive and professional attitude with co-workers and customers
- Be able to handle the physical work of baking.

As the Grower, you'll take the lead on producing gorgeous, nutritious and high-quality greens, herbs, flowers + microgreens from our on-site farmette and greenhouse.
Responsibilities
You’ll collaborate with Farmette’s founder, Katie Burdett, along with the entire small Farmette team.
- Participate in all aspects of food and flower production with a focus on salad mixes, microgreens, herbs + flowers.
- Maintain the farm, greenhouse, landscaping, planters and general outdoor area.
- Production includes seeding, weeding, fertilizing, watering, harvesting, post harvest handling/washing and packing.
- Keep all tools, hoses, buckets and general farm supplies in clean, tidy + working order. Tools are cleaned and put away everyday at the end of the day.
- Follow Farmette’s crop plan and record keeping procedures.
- Follow the principles of Integrative Pest Management for a no-till and no-spray operation.
- Stock the marketplace with products from the farm and local farmers.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, calm + welcoming environment for all staff, customers and vendors.
- Keep a clean + sanitary workspace

Requirements
- At least 1 year of year-round food production experience, preferably in the Great Lakes growing region.
- Great communication + interpersonal skills.
- Passion for high-quality food production in coordination with soil health, carbon sequestration and general Earth-positive growing practices.
- Familiarity with the USDA Organic Certification and/or Regenerative Organic Certification best practices.
- Demonstrate the ability to work in a team-driven environment. We are a respectful and positive work environment.

As the Marketplace Manager, you'll take the lead on keeping our marketplace stocked and organized with fresh, gorgeous and seasonal products from our on-site farm, local producers and unique global makers.
Responsibilities
You’ll collaborate with Farmette’s founder, Katie Burdett, along with the entire small Farmette team.
- Customer service: maintain a positive, friendly, calm + welcoming environment for all staff, customers and vendors.
- Operate the POS system at the checkout counter and fulfill bakery orders.
- Place regular orders with our many vendors.
- Accept deliveries, stock the marketplace, check for accuracy of orders and recycle boxes.
- Inventory management.
- Train and manage team members.
- Communicate and coordinate with the kitchen and farm team about inventory, customer feedback, etc.
- Coordinate inventory with e-commerce offerings.
- Keep a clean and sanitary workspace, bathrooms, storage and refrigeration.
- Learn about all of our products to assist clients with purchasing.
- Help facilitate surplus food donations.
- Outdoor maintenance as needed (cleaning/drying outdoor furniture for guests)

As the Janitor + Dishwasher, you'll take the lead on keeping Farmette’s entire facility clean and maintained.
Responsibilities
You’ll report directly to the General Manager + Farmette’s founder Katie Burdett, and collaborate with the entire small Farmette team.
- Dishwashing: Washing, rinsing, sanitizing, drying and restocking.
- Cleaning: This includes laundry, bathroom, floors, rugs, walls, windows, sinks, tables, surfaces, equipment and all indoor + outdoor areas. This includes both deep cleaning and maintaining regular cleaning schedules.
- Trash and waste management: Collect and dispose of trash and recycling, maintain trash and recycling receptacles, and ensure the area is free of debris.
- Restocking: Accept packages, maintain and restock all facilities with necessary supplies.
- Other duties as assigned

Will you be open year-round?
We plan to stay open year-round with some small breaks sprinkled in. We keep our newsletter,website and social media up-to-date on our current hours.
Can I host my event at Farmette?
Farmette is able to occasionally host casual private events with a guest capacity of 50 people. Please fill out this form to get the conversation started.
Can I pre-order items from Farmette - like your bread?
We are currently not accepting pre-orders of any kind.

Is the farm organic?
We are not certified organic but we do use all the same growing practices. We are no-till, no-spray and always Earth-friendly. Feel free to ask us any specific questions!
