In our cafe you'll find coffee drinks, kombucha, wine, beer + cold brew. Croissants and muffins from local bakery Bit of Swiss can be found in the cafe.

You’ll report to our Kitchen Manager + Baker, along with the entire small Farmette team.
- Support the bakery program by keeping the marketplace stocked with fresh baked products.
- Tasks involve mixing + shaping dough, measuring ingredients, making cookies, bread, focaccia + hand pies, baking and washing dishes.
- Maintain quality and consistency of the bakery program.
- Keep a clean, sanitary workspace, storage and refrigeration.

- At least 1 year of baking experience, preferably in a retail bakery.

As the Grower, you'll take the lead on producing gorgeous, nutritious and high-quality greens, herbs, flowers + microgreens from our on-site farmette and greenhouse.
Responsibilities
You’ll collaborate with Farmette’s founder, Katie Burdett, along with the entire small Farmette team.
- Participate in all aspects of food and flower production with a focus on salad mixes, microgreens, herbs + flowers.
- Maintain the farm, greenhouse, landscaping, planters and general outdoor area.
- Production includes seeding, weeding, fertilizing, watering, harvesting, post harvest handling/washing and packing.
- Keep all tools, hoses, buckets and general farm supplies in clean, tidy + working order. Tools are cleaned and put away everyday at the end of the day.
- Follow Farmette’s crop plan and record keeping procedures.
- Follow the principles of Integrative Pest Management for a no-till and no-spray operation.
- Stock the marketplace with products from the farm and local farmers.
- Maintain a positive, friendly, calm + welcoming environment for all staff, customers and vendors.

Requirements
- At least 1 year of year-round food production experience, preferably in the Great Lakes growing region.
- Great communication + interpersonal skills.
- Passion for high-quality food production in coordination with soil health, carbon sequestration and general Earth-positive growing practices.
- Familiarity with the USDA Organic Certification and/or Regenerative Organic Certification best practices.

We are currently not accepting pre-orders of any kind.

We are not certified organic but we do use all the same growing practices. We are no-till, no-spray and always Earth-friendly. Feel free to ask us any specific questions!
