We are an inclusive marketplace + event space carrying local and sustainable produce, flowers, coffee, prepared foods, home goods and more. 

In the role of Baker, you will keep our marketplace stocked with fresh baked products like sourdough bread, focaccia, cookies + fruit hand pies.

Responsibilities

You’ll report to our Kitchen Manager + Baker, along with the entire small Farmette team. 

• Support the bakery program by keeping the marketplace stocked with fresh baked products.
• Tasks involve mixing + shaping dough, measuring ingredients, making cookies, bread, focaccia + hand pies, baking and washing dishes.
• Maintain quality and consistency of the bakery program.
• Keep a clean, sanitary workspace, storage and refrigeration.
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• No baking experience necessary, we can train.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a team-driven environment. We are a respectful and positive work environment.
• Reliability a must
• Able to work independently, focused and self-driven.
• Open to feedback with the understanding that the whole team is working towards the same goal
• Keep a positive and professional attitude with co-workers and customers
• Be able to handle the physical work of baking.
• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Reach, bend and stoop frequently
• Make cleanliness and food safety a top priority.
• Live within a reasonable driving distance to Farmette and have access to reliable transportation.
• We are a non-smoking workplace for the safety of our on-site farm.

Farmette’s cafe features sustainably farmed coffee, cold brew + nitro, espresso, wine and other specials. Our marketplace is stocked with sustainable products including house-made sourdough breads, farm-fresh produce, prepared foods, wine, beer, grocery + home items. As the customer service associate you will help customers at the register, restock inventory, supplies and baked items.

Responsibilities

You’ll report directly to Farmette’s founder Katie Burdett and collaborate with the entire small Farmette team. 

• Customer service: maintain a positive, friendly, calm + welcoming environment for all staff, customers and vendors.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures for the cafe and marketplace.
• Operate our POS system for taking orders and payment.
• Stocking inventory
• Maintain quality and consistency of culinary products.
• Keep a clean, sanitary workspace, storage + refrigeration.
• Accept deliveries, check for accuracy of orders, input inventory + recycle boxes.
• Communicate + coordinate with the kitchen + farm team about inventory, customer feedback, etc.
• Keep all spaces in compliance with all local health codes.
• Learn about all of our products to assist clients with purchasing.
• Outdoor maintenance (cleaning/drying outdoor furniture for guests, opening and closing umbrellas).
• Other duties as assigned and desired

Requirements

• Customer Service experience preferable
• 17+ years old to be able to sell alcohol
• A passion for sustainable products.
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a team-driven environment. We are a respectful and positive work environment.
• Reliability a must.

Barista

As the Barista, you'll support our cafe and marketplace by making coffee drinks, utilizing our tap system, stocking the cafe and providing friendly customer service to our customers. Farmette’s cafe features sustainably farmed coffee, cold brew + nitro, espresso, wine and other specials. Our marketplace is stocked with sustainable products including house-made sourdough breads, farm-fresh produce, prepared foods, wine, beer, grocery + home items.

• Accept deliveries, check for accuracy of orders, input inventory + recycle boxes.

• Learn about all of our products to assist clients with purchasing.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of customer service experience. Barista experience not needed, we will provide training.
